Violent crime are recently grabbing the headlines of news outlets all over the nation, but what many people do not know is that trauma may equal financial assistance for some victims.
A program that is not often utilised offers victims of crime thousands of dollars, reports Julie Nauman, the Executive Officer at the California Victim Compensation Board (CalVCB)
“No one ever expects to be a victim of crime, but when it happens, we want them to know that we’re here to help,” said Nauman. “Our primary mission is to provide assistance to victims of violent crime.”
