Arraignment for Fairfield woman accused of killing sister shifts to next week

FAIRFIELD — A Fairfield woman accused of fatally stabbing her sister and attacking another family member at a Walters Road trailer park made her first court appearance Wednesday.

Antoinette Clay, 43, did not enter pleas to charges of murder and attempted murder. Instead, the court agreed to her court-appointed public defender’s request to postpone Clay’s arraignment until Monday.

Clay has been in jail without bail since her arrest Monday night at a trailer in the Dover Mobile Home Park. Police went to the trailer around 6:45 p.m. in response to a disturbance complaint and found a bloody crime scene.
