Murder Investigation Underway After Bodies Found In Peabody Home

PEABODY (CBS) – A murder investigation is underway after two people were found brutally murdered inside a Peabody home.

Essex District Attorney Jon Blodgett said Sunday the bodies of at least one man and one woman were found inside a Farm Ave. home.

Law enforcement sources told WBZ-TV a man and his girlfriend were found shot to death, their bodies wrapped in rugs and plastic.

Blodgett told reporters that a woman ran from the bungalow-style home on Farm Avenue Saturday night, flagging down a driver and telling police that a crime had been committed there.

Sources told WBZ-TV chief investigative reporter Cheryl Fiandaca that police found several body parts and a bloody crime scene.

The man and woman were identified, and authorities said the victims and suspect knew one another. Their names were not being released until their families were notified.
